Although those years have gone by as fast as the water in the Vltava, the history of Ecotours began in 2008.
At that time, two friends from Prague wanted to start a business together. They wanted to do something that would entertain and satisfy them and at the same time, something that would make other people happy. They had the environment of one of the most beautiful cities in the world, which is a lot to begin with. But Michal and Honza managed to take it to a higher level where exploring Prague has become a truly unique experience.
Their case was significantly helped by the arrival of the off-road Segway X2. Even though they had only 5 pieces at the beginning, they quickly became a favorite activity of Prague visitors. This increased the popularity of the tours so much that they could expand the Segway fleet to several dozen pieces and subsequently adapt to market changes by adding bicycles, electric bikes and electric scooters – now over 60 vehicles.
Of course, the most important thing in the service industry are the people you deal with, so Ecotours have created a professional team of mainly guides, but also office managers and the technical staff. All these people with their hard work and continuous education brought the company where Michal and Honza saw it in their vision 12 years ago. As a proof of this, we are at the top of the TripAdvisor Outdoor Activities category in the beginning of 2020 and have been certified by TripAdvisor for many years.
